About LIVIA
Identities: Bisexual, LBGTQIA+ friendly therapist
Pronouns: She/Her
I believe therapy works best when people feel genuinely seen, accepted, and safe enough to show up exactly as they are. My goal is to create a space where clients can explore life's challenges with curiosity rather than judgment while building on the strengths they already have.
My clinical work is grounded in attachment theory, trauma-informed care, and somatic approaches. I am a trained play therapist and have worked with both young children and their caregivers, helping them navigate emotional regulation, trauma, anxiety, behavioral challenges, and relationship concerns through play. I also look forward to working with adolescents, adults, and LGBTQIA+ clients.
I view behavior as communication and believe healing happens through connection. Whether I’m helping a child express big feelings through play or supporting an adult through a difficult life transition, I strive to create a warm, collaborative relationship where clients feel understood and empowered to move toward the life they want.
As a bisexual therapist, I am passionate about providing affirming care for LGBTQIA+ clients and creating a space where people feel safe exploring identity, relationships, and belonging. I practice with cultural humility and recognize that our experiences are shaped not only by our relationships, but also by the families, communities, and larger systems we exist within.
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy hiking, cooking for the people I love, wandering through museums, and hosting board game nights with friends. I’m also an unapologetic reality TV fan and love the conversations those shows spark about relationships, communication, and human behavior. At the heart of it all, I’m someone who’s endlessly curious about people and their stories, which is what drew me to this work in the first place.
