About Darius

Hello and welcome! I'm Darius, a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate, and I'm thrilled to be a part of your journey towards wellness. With a strong educational background, including an M.Ed. in Clinical Mental Health & Addictions Counseling from the esteemed College of William & Mary and a Ph.D. in Counselor Education from James Madison University, I'm well-equipped to provide you with compassionate and effective support.

In my practice, I deeply value the opportunity to help individuals navigate life's difficulties in their pursuit of overall well-being. My professional experiences have allowed me to support clients facing various challenges, including trauma, substance use, anxiety, depression, domestic violence, and other mental health concerns. As an advocate for diversity and inclusion, I'm particularly passionate about serving BIPOC clients and others who may experience marginalization throughout their lives.

I understand that opening up and being vulnerable about life's hardships can be daunting. With me, you can expect a counseling approach that is culturally attuned, trauma-informed, and collaborative. This means that I will create a safe space where your vulnerability is heard, validated, honored, and respected. Together, we will work towards overcoming those hardships and achieving the goals you desire in life.

I'm genuinely excited to get to know you better and support you as you take your next steps towards wellness. No matter the challenges you face, know that I'm here to walk alongside you on this transformative journey.

Warm regards,
Darius
